Sociology is the study of social life, social change and the social causes and Consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organization, and societies, and how people interact within these contacts. In fact few fields have such broad scope and relevance for research, theory and application of knowledge.
The Department of sociology was started in the year 1968 shree C.V. Mulagund was pioneer of the department Shri I.Y.Koujalagi joined the department in the year 1976, Shri C.H. Biradar joined the department in the year 1979. Dr. S.B. Jadhav joined the department in the year 2019.
Many programmes were organized for students in the department of sociology. Exp- Quiz, Group discussion, Seminars, Project works, Surprise test etc. A special Lecture is organized each semester for students.
Sociology helps the individual to study and understand the culture and remove the prejudices and blesses about Sociology.
