The department of Physics was established in the year 1987 Shri. D.D. Yadahalli worked as a faculty member, later Shri. G.S. Hebbal joined in the year 1988. Shri. S.N. Poleshi and Shri. S.M. Nimbalgundi joined the department in the year 1990. Earlier physics was the major subject. the semester system has been introduced at the undergraduate level since 2005- 2006. Now in the year 2021 NEP introduced, Now, physics is considered as one of the core subject and elective. At present the department has four faculty members.
