The family of koujalagi is one of the prestigious Family in the areas of Bailhongal and Soundatti(Parasagad) of Belagavi district of last three generations. Late Shri H V Koujalagi the senior member of this family had served as a MLA thrice from Bailhongal and soundatti constituency and also served as MP for the Belgaum district once. And he rendered his service as Revenue and Law Minister at the council of Late Shri. Veerendra Patil., Besides he also served as the President of Local Body Belgaum Board and Soundatti yallamma (Parasagad) town Muncipal Council.
Further his son Shri, Shivanand H Koujalagi also got elected for the post of Member Legislative Assembly thrice and also rendered his service as the P W D Minister for the Karnataka State, he too got elected as the member of parliament for the Belgaum constituency and served as the active prominent member of party of Belgaum district.
He is the first and foremost in Karnataka to open many more Govt. High schools, PU College and degree Colleges, Community Halls and Libraries in Bailhongal Constituency.
I got completed my Law degree after the commerce graduation and started my career as Civil Advocate.

Bailhongal got the facilities of govt. High school,PU Colleges
and Degree Colleges for women. And I got sanction for many hostels and libraries by the Government even I sanctioned the Govt. hospital and veterinary hospitals. BCM Hostels. During my period more importance was given to the lift irrigation. Three lift irrigation projects sanctioned in my service.
Education develops the personality of students mounts their character and developmental skills to help them cope up with the problems and challenges of complex world today our aim is to make them successful not only in life but also conscious of their duties and responsibilities and it is with this vision that Shrimati Gangamma Veerappa Chiniwar Vidya Prasarak trust was established in the year 1967 and several higher education Institutions were set up for last 5 decades offering quality education.
The MGVC Arts Commerce and Science College exemplify the fact that sky is not the limit in the pursuit of excellence the aim of our college is to promote a system of integral education in a congenial friendly environment that emphasizes the unity of all knowledge synthesizes humanity and recognizes the fact that each student is unique.
